By RAD, were you thinking of Boehm's Spiral Model, Martin's RAD model, Underwood's work in Australia & Hong Kong, Kerr and Hunter's work, or some other approach that called itself RAD back then? And lots of RAD stuff got monetized as well with the "big geuns" bvack then also claiming how RAD was superior to traditional development.
