I definitely was not brought up, by family or education, to know most of the things I have read that you have presented in Medium for the last couple of years. I've been trying to read broadly about US History, especially our history of slavery, prejudice, discrimination, and hatred around issues of race.

What I have come believe though is that, so many when exposed to this information, either don't care, deny much of it, but even defend some of it. I find it hard to talk about these things with people perhaps because my own regret over the history makes me angry enough not to want or be able to hold a discussion quite often that produces a positive result, even if small.

Please continue to enlighten me with more knowledge. Maybe I'll get to the point where I can have such discussions.
