Just wanted to pass on a couple ideas I've heard about trust and regaining it once it is lost.

The one I've known for years is that "Trust is gained in pennies, but lost in dollars."

One I just encountered a few years ago is that "Trust is like a piece of paper you crumple up then try to smooth out again, you never get all the wrinkles out."
