Power exists at different levels in society and some with it don't know they have it because they look up at the power above them. From reading and hearing what many white, blue collar Trump supporters say about it, I can see they feel they don't have power, are discriminated against, etc. Looking at what minorities in the same socio-economic range say, it's quite clear those white people have a power they don't recognize: the power to not have to fear the attitudes of other white people around them. This is something people with substantial power recognize and use to keep other people against one another by getting them, to blame those with even less power for their problems.
